The Valencian Bernabé Zapata, 23 years and 178 of the world ranking, has been imposed on Murcia Carlos Alcaraz, 17 years and 217th, by 6-2, 4-6 and 6-2 in the final of the ATP Challenger on clay at Cordenons, in Italy.
Zapata opens his record at Challenger ATP ending Alcaraz’s streak, which added eleven consecutive games won since the previous Sunday he had lifted the trophy in Trieste, coming from the previous phase.
Zapata had lost the final of Todi (Italy) against the German Yannick Hanfmann August 23. In 2019 he had not found a prize in Hamburg either.
The Levantine will sign your best ranking, ranking 142, entering the top-150 for the first time. Alcaraz will debut in the top-200, ranking 184th.
