Who is Nikkie de Jager, the first trans Eurovision presenter?

Rotterdam hosted this past week the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. After the triumph of Duncan Laurence in 2019, the pageant landed in the Netherlands after a deserted year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Better known as NikkieTutorials, was one of the four presenters who led the three galas that made up the Eurovision Week. Youtuber and beauty influencer, in January 2020 revealed that she is transgender after receiving threats to leak her story to the media.

He did it on his channel Youtube with a video titled ‘I’m coming out’ (I come out of the closet) that, in just under a year and a half, has accumulated more than 37 million views. In it, he reveals that he began to undergo treatments when he was 14 years old and that he had surgery when he was 19.


Although he did not disembark in the Rotterdam Ahoy thus. And it is that, Nikkie de Jager is one of the best known Dutch influencers in the world. On his Instagram account, he has a whopping 14.6 million followers, to which must be added the 13.8 he has on YouTube.
