Víctor Ruiz can play his first game as a starter in the ranks of Real Betis next Monday in San Mamés against Athletic, a clash that Algerian Aissa Mandi, expelled in the last league match against FC Barcelona, will not be able to play with the Verdiblancos.
Víctor Ruiz, to date, has only played with Real Betis the final minutes of the matches of the last three days, against Atlético de Madrid, Elche and FC Barcelona, in which he replaced Guido Rodríguez (79 ‘), Bartra ( 75 ‘) and Joaquín (61’), to the latter after Mandi’s expulsion a couple of minutes earlier.
Victor Ruiz has unseated Sidnei in the last few weeks as third center-back – who was a starter on matchdays 4, 5 and 6 against Getafe, Valencia and Real Sociedad – and whom some muscular discomfort separated from the calls in the last commitments.
The last game played by Víctor Ruiz as a starter in LaLiga was on April 7, 2019 in the ranks of Villarreal, against Real Betis at Benito Villamarín. That day Betis won 2-1 with two goals from Lo Celso thanks to the fact that Pau López saved a penalty that was badly taken by Santi Cazorla in the 89th minute.
