Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea coach, assured that it is “too early” to judge the European Super League and that he, as an employee, trusts the English club.
Chelsea is one of the twelve founding members of the competition, as announced by the club itself at midnight on Sunday.
“It is too early to judge. I am an employee of this team and I trust them. I am not the right person for you to ask me. I understand that you are curious and I understand the reactions and emotions that there have been, but it is better that we not let us get involved in it, “said the German at a press conference.
“I have not been involved in it and neither have my players. It is better not to give our opinions because it is a thing between clubs,” Tuchel concluded at the press conference prior to tomorrow’s Premier League game against Brighton.
Chelsea is one of the survivors of the current edition of the Champions League that is still in contention and in the semifinals they will face Real Madrid unless both teams, which have joined the new Super League, are excluded from the current competition by UEFA.
