This coming Friday, March 19, will be held the draw for the 2020-21 Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals at the House of European Football in Nyon (Switzerland), from 12 noon. There are already six teams classified: Real Madrid (ESP), Porto (POR), Borussia Dortmund (ALE), Liverpool (ING), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) and Manchester City (ING).
This Wednesday the two quarter-finalists that remain to be clarified and who could also face the meringues will be known: Bayern Munich-Lazio (1-4 in the first leg held at the Olympic in Rome) and Chelsea-Atlético Madrid (0-1 in the first leg in Bucharest). It should be remembered that of the four Spanish clubs that entered the fray this season in the Champions League, the Barça (eliminated by PSG) and Seville (KO against Dortmund).
There are no seeds
As reported by UEFA through its official website, the quarter-final draw will be “pure”, with the qualifying rounds numbered from 1 to 4. Then there will be the semi-final draw and another will be held to determine the “home” team in the final for administrative reasons.There are no seeds and teams can face others from the same federation. Any restrictions will be announced prior to the draw.
