The president of RTVE, Jose Manuel Perez Tornero, has assured this Thursday in Congress during the Joint Commission of Parliamentary Control of the Corporation that the info-entertainment will not have continuity in this new stage, what could imply the final goodbye of the program ‘Clear things’, hosted by presenter Jesús Cintora.
“The journalism that TVE must do is public, valuable, and informs in depth. Everything that is trivialization, show and scandal should not be in any part of RTVE, but mainly in the news, ”said José Manuel Pérez Tornero.
“Banal journalism is not worth it, and even less on public television,” he declared in his speech.
A few words that lets glimpse the end of this format rated by Rosa María Mateo, sole provisional administrator of RTVE until the appointment of Pérez Tornero, as “Newsletter newsletter”, precisely the info-entertainment.
Therefore, the program directed by Jesús Cintora it would conclude its stage on the air soon, as pointed out by ‘La Vanguarda’.
“Clear things” started its journey on TVE last November, and so far it has not managed to stand out in audience numbers. What’s more, with worse figures than those of its competitors.
