The RFEF suspends the play-off for promotion to Segunda B for three positives from CD Marino

The Royal Spanish Football Federation He announced this Saturday through a statement that “he has decided to suspend the meetings that were to take place this weekend in the Soccer City (Las Rozas) after detecting positive cases in COVID in one of the participating teams ”.

“After the arrival of the teams participating in the Third Division Additional Promotion Phase to the Ciudad del Fútbol, ​​the Royal Spanish Football Federation proceeded to the pertinent medical controls that three positive cases in the CD Marino (Tenerife) ”, assured the federative note.

“All the teams tested negative in origin and that is why the trips to Madrid were made. Specifically, the CD Marino, the tests were carried out on Thursday, July 30, being sent to the RFEF on Friday, July 31, with all negative results, which is why they traveled to the Ciudad del Fútbol ”, explained the federal body.

The Federation adds that “it has immediately informed the health authorities, in this case the Madrid’s community, as well as the sports authorities of the Government of Spain and the Government of Madrid ”.

Consequently, according to the RFEF statement, “after the positive cases, the Royal Spanish Football Federation has taken the decision to suspend the matches that were going to be played in the Football City and which faced CD Loyalty in front of CD Alcoyano, this Saturday, August 1; and CD Marino versus Linares Deportivo, tomorrow Sunday, August 2 ”. A play-off to Segunda B that has now been suspended by the Federation.
