The Norwegian Casper Rudd and the Russian Karen Khachanov have confirmed their participation in the ATP Mallorca Championship that will be held from June 19 to 26 on the natural grass courts of the Mallorca Country Club in Calviá.
The ATP has made public this Tuesday the list of 19 tennis players who will play in the Mallorcan tournament, as well as another four who will qualify once the preliminary phase is over.
The organization also has 3 invitations to complete the final list of the 28 players who will fight to win the title on the island.
Ruud, 16th racket in the world and champion in Geneva after defeating Canadian Denis Shapovalov in the final, will be one of the great names on the grass of the Mallorcan tournament.
In addition, Khachanov, number 25 in the classification and champion of four ATP titles (including the Masters1000 in Paris) will be another of the players to watch during the event.
The cut will be marked by Gilles Simon, the player who has reached the highest position in the ATP ranking – former world number 7 – and who accumulates the most titles with a total of 14.
He is the Frenchman Gilles Simon, current number 69. The organization of the event has decided to bet on young talents and, in addition to Ruud, some of the most outstanding young promises will also be in Mallorca today, such as the Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic , or the South African Lloyd Harris.
They will be joined by great names on the circuit with more than 35 ATP titles in their record, such as the Spanish Pablo Carreño, Feliciano López, Pablo Andújar, the American Sam Querrey, the Argentine Federico Delbonis and Guido Pella and the French Jeremy Chardy.
Another of the major attractions of the Mallorca Championships will be the participation of Australian Nick Kyrgios, who became number 13 in the world and has six ATP titles.
