The Isidre Esteve Foundation (FIE) announced on Tuesday the return of the Grand Prize that the entity organizes to give visibility to inclusive sport, and which had to be suspended last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As reported in a statement, this festive test will take place on July 28 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and will have a program of activities that will serve to publicize the social work of the foundation chaired by the Dakarian pilot Isidre Esteve, who was left paraplegic after suffering an accident in 2007.
All in all, Esteve is looking forward to the celebration of a Grand Prix that, this year, coincides with the tenth anniversary of the birth of its foundation.
“The Covid has taught us to value things as simple as meetings with friends, the importance of solidarity and the need to celebrate things,” Esteve added.
The event will feature various activities such as, for example, the popular cycling team relay race, in which one of the members must ride a ‘handbike’, a hand bike adapted for people with reduced mobility.
As reported by the organization, the culmination of this solidarity day will be a charity dinner with a show that will take place on the main straight of the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit.
