The Athletic-Real Sociedad final, at home and without celebration

The health crisis caused by the pandemic is evolving positively, but we must not lower our guard. All precautions are few to avoid a fourth wave.

In this situation, the Cup final that Athletic has to play against Real Sociedad on April 3 will not have the fans of both teams in the stands of La Cartuja in Seville.

Bingen
Zupiria, spokesman for the Basque Government, insisted this morning that neither the Lehendakari nor the rest of the authorities will attend – the Bilbao mayor of Bilbao also confirmed that he will not go to Seville – and that the match must be seen at home on television and in groups of four, as established by the regulations.

The politician has also reiterated that there will be no celebrations for the title, whether the team wins Marcelino or that of Imanol
Sheriff. The celebrations have to be held in privacy because the curfew is still in force, which begins at ten o’clock at night.

Very possibly, these rules will also have to be fulfilled in the next final of the KO tournament that the rojiblancos will play, on the 17th on the same stage, this time against Barça de Messi and company.
