Tennis: Matteo Berrettini completes Wimbledon semi-finals

The Italian Matteo berrettini will be the rival of the Polish Hubert hurkacz in the semifinals of Wimbledon after beating the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, pupil of Toni Nadal, by 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 and 6-3.

The transalpine completes the semifinals of the tournament, in which the Serbian will also face Novak Djokovic and the canadian Denis Shapovalov.

Berrettini, champion a few weeks ago in Queen’s, cushioned the 45 unforced errors with 33 winners and took advantage of a nervous Auger-Aliassime, who was contesting his first Grand Slam quarter-finals.

It will be the second official duel between Berrettini and Hurkacz, who defeated Roger Federer in three sets, after the first round of the 2019 Miami Masters 1,000, where the Pole won.
