Tennis: Linette removes Svitolina from the path of Badosa

The German Magda Linette gave one of the surprises of the day by beating the Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (6-3 and 6-4) and will be the rival of Paula Badosa in third round of Wimbledon.

The world number five, who precisely beat Badosa last week in Eastbourne, succumbed in the second round of Wimbledon and will continue with her curse at the Grand Slams, where her top is the semifinals.

Badosa, who defeated Yulia Putintseva in two sets, will face Linette, world number 44, for the first time in her career.
