The australian Nick kyrgios still sweet in Wimbledon. Following his epic five-set victory against Ugo Humbert, this Thursday he put one more march to pass over the Italian Gianluca Mager (7-6 (7), 6-4 and 6-4).
Although he assured that he was coming to Wimbledon “on vacation” and with hardly any preparation for the tournament, the one from Canberra showed a very solid and powerful version with Mager, whom he defeated with 29 direct aces and 49 winning goals.
The most surprising statistic, however, was that of unforced errors, where he only committed eleven, to his rival’s 28. Kyrgios, who has already ensured that no one in the team scares him and that on grass, without preparation, he can win 50% of players, he did not grant a single opportunity to break with his serve and advances to the third round of Wimbledon for the fifth time in his career.
Now he will face the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime or the Swede Mikael Ymer.
