The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, has attended a trial this Monday indicated in the city of Justice of Valencia as accused of a alleged crime of injury, although before entering the room he reiterated his innocence and recalled that it will be shown that he has “always” acted well.
Rubiales has attended briefly to the media after 11:30 a.m. before the start of the trial in which he is accused of a alleged assault on an architect several years ago in the square of the city hall of Valencia, according to what sources familiar with the case have informed EFE.
However, the president of the RFEF has recalled that in two previous cases with this same complainant it was already shown that he “lied” and he has stressed that the same thing will happen again in this third episode in court.
“They are four years with different causes. In an architectural firm he accused me of not having paid for a renovation and it was proven that he was lying. In another of the trials, which I also won, it was shown that they were lying and that IIn no case did I try to get money from AFE when I was president”, Has indicated.
“There are two more causes, one in which I hope to continue showing that I have always acted well and another in which this couple or this company or this lady will have to render accounts to justice for this way of acting ”, added the president of the RFEF.
Rubiales has admitted that “it is not pleasant” to be in a trial but he has insisted that he is “very calm.”
“It is very important that you know that they are quite used to coming to court, they have dozens of complaints filed in Valencia. It has been my turn to be the best known person but I trust the Justice ”, he said.
