Surreal situation experienced this Monday afternoon in Trigoria, where Roma has established its sports center. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Emiliano, the father of Genoa striker Gianluca Scamacca, was arrested after showing up at the ‘giallorossi’ sports city with an iron bar with the intention of destroying the cars of some managers.
The man, initially unidentified, began to threaten those present, including some young people who were passing at that moment in front of the entrance to the sports center.
Dressed in a Sassuolo sweatshirt, the player’s father was out of his mind and would have damaged the vehicles of Tiago Pinto, general manager, Lombardo and De Sanctis. He also wanted to destroy the cars of the coaches of the lower categories, who were protected by the security members.
Scamacca, owned by Sassuolo and loaned to Genoa, went through the youth ranks at Roma before moving to the Netherlands at PSV Eindhoven in 2015 at the age of 16. The motives for his father’s attack are still unknown, although it could have something to do with that stage.
Emiliano was arrested by officers from the Exposition-Eur police station.
