Rugby: The EU Santboiana celebrates 100 years of history

The UE Santboina This Sunday has completed 100 years of history, which have elapsed since July 4, 1921, the dean club of Catalan and Spanish rugby was officially founded thanks to the passion of Baldiri aleu, who fell in love with this sport when he went to study at Toulouse (France).

The president of the Generalitat of Catalunya, Pere Aragonès, has led the institutional representation in the presentation of the Centennial held in the Baldiri Aleu field, where Santboiana plays its matches and a meeting of different rugby schools has been held.

The club has made a wreath to Rosa Aleu, 93, daughter of the founder and supporter of rugby. “This is something that my father started with all his enthusiasm, the town of Sant Boi cultivated it and it has come this far, 100 years, which are many. I wish and hope that it will last much longer ”, said Rosa Aleu on TV3.

La Santboiana, currently chaired by Miquel Martínez, has also delivered the Centennial shirt to Aragonès and the mayor of Sant Boi de Llobregat, Lluïsa Moret.
