Celta de Vigo goalkeeper Rubén Blanco suffers a muscle injury in the anterior rectum of his right thigh, so if the initial diagnosis is confirmed, he will miss the last three games of the current league championship.
The Galician goalkeeper was injured in the 81st minute of the game that faced his team last night with Atlético de Madrid in Balaídos. For several minutes he was lying on the grass and, after dialoguing with the doctor Juan José García Cota, asked coach Óscar García Junyent for the change.
The player will undergo further medical tests in the next few hours to determine the exact extent of the injury. His discharge joins that of his partner Sergio Álvarez, who had to undergo surgery in late May for a serious knee injury.
Celta currently have the squad Iván Villar, who had his first minutes in the league yesterday, and the Serbian Dragan Rosic, goal of the subsidiary, as the only goalkeepers available for Saturday’s clash against Atlético Osasuna.
