The technician of the Rome, Paul
Fonseca, will leave the club at the end of this season, the Italian club announced on Tuesday. The announcement comes two days before the team host Manchester United in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals.
Roma lost the first leg 6-2 last week and have struggled in Serie A as well, ranking seventh with four games to play. Former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri is Roma’s first choice to replace Fonseca.
The Portuguese is in his second season with the capital’s team, having previously coached Shakhtar Donetsk.
