Levante forward Roger Martí regretted that the penalty with which Athletic tied the clash that faced them this Friday at the Ciutat de València was in his opinion “non-existent”.
“We have deservedly put ourselves ahead, then it is true that the game has been equalized and the tie could have arrived in any other play but it has arrived in that one in which I think the penalty is non-existent,” he said in statements to Gol.
“We knew it would be difficult, Athletic is very strong but we have started very well, we have put ourselves ahead and the penalty does not exist for me,” he insisted.
The striker was satisfied to have scored again due to the confidence that it implies but did not want to say what they could get out of this match for the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals that will be played by both teams. “Better not say it,” he concluded.
