Renfe blows up prices: train between Madrid and Barcelona from 25 euros

Renfe is going to put into service, starting next June 7, 17 high-speed AV trainsE per day per direction between Madrid and Barcelona, ​​with prices from 25 euros each way.

From that date, Renfe will increase its commercial offer of Ave and Long Distance by 20.5%, with special incidence on the Madrid-Barcelona line, which will have 17 Ave in each direction, of which seven will be direct (the rest They have stops in Guadalajara, Calatayud, Zaragoza, Lleida, Tarragona, Girona and Figueres), the railway operator reported this Thursday.

Tickets from 25 euros are on sale from this Thursday

As of June 23, with the launch of the low-cost high-speed service Avlo, the northeast corridor, one of the most demanded by travelers, will have 42 daily circulations (21 in each direction).

The first AVE train on this high-speed line departs from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays and at 7:30 a.m. on weekends.

In the opposite direction, the first service from Barcelona-Sants leaves at 5:51 am every day of the week except Sundays, when it does so at 8 am.

Renfe has recalled in the statement that it maintains its voluntary commitment to punctuality, which establishes the return of 100% of the amount of the AVE ticket if there is a delay of more than 30 minutes and 50% if it is between 15 and 30 minutes.
