Historical announcement of Renault in Spain with the presentation of its Industrial Plan 2021-2024, the most ambitious of the company in our country. This plan includes important awards for the Group’s plants in Valladolid, Palencia and Seville, and will put its Spanish factories at maximum performance during the plan period and will promote the economic recovery of the country with the generation of employment and wealth.
The announcement was made today at an event held at the Palencia Factory that was chaired by His Majesty the King Felipe VI and the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchez. The presentation was attended by Jean Dominique Senard, President of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance .; Luca de meo, CEO of Grupo Renault, and Jose Vicente de los Mozos, Industrial Director of Grupo Renault and CEO of Renault Spain.
Within the framework of this Industrial Plan, Luca de meo, CEO of Grupo Renault, has announced the award of three new vehicles to the Palencia Factory in the C and D SUV segments, which will arrive in a staggered manner in 2022-2023 and 2024. Likewise, the award of two new vehicles has been announced for the Valladolid Bodywork and Assembly Factory, of the B SUV and B + SUV segments, which will begin to be manufactured in 2024. A new family of engines has also been assigned to the Valladolid Engine Factory that will arrive in 2023 and two new boxes of speeds to the Seville Factory for 2022 and 2024.
With the Industrial Plan 2021-2024, Renault reaffirms its commitment to Spain, remaining as Renault’s second home after France. During this period, the company will formalize 1,000 permanent contracts in Spain, where it generates more than 100,000 jobs.
Renault’s new roadmap in Spain includes promoting the brand’s social contribution in our country through ambitious environmental impact projects, such as the launch of a Circular Economy project in Seville.
