Otávio Edmilson da Silva Monteiro, Brazilian midfielder of Porto, today signed its renewal with the Portuguese club until 2025, in a ceremony held at the stadium Do Dragão.
“I am here with the same enthusiasm with which I entered for the first time and I will give everything on the field to help bring more titles to this club,” said the player, who arrived at the Porto in September 2014 from the Brazilian International.
The 26-year-old footballer assured that “he wanted to renew his contract” and that he feels “at home” in Portugal, a country with which he has dual nationality.
Since his arrival in 2014, Otávio has played in the Porto except for a period assigned in the Vitória de Guimarães, between January 2015 and June 2016.
He is a fixture of the “dragons” and this season he already has 31 games in all competitions, with 5 goals scored.
Although he came to play with the Brazilian under-20 and under-23 teams, the midfielder assured last year that if the call came to go with the absolute Portugal I would not reject it.
