Petcoff asks Logroñés to ‘reset and correct’ after defeat against Cartagena

The Argentine player of the Union Deportiva Logroñés Damián Petcoff has recognized that the team reaches the important game in Castellon after a loss to him Cartagena “hard and unexpected” although he and his colleagues have already gone through situations like this “with what has to draw conclusions, reset and correct.”

Petcoff, In the press conference prior to the game against Castellón, he defended that the team’s mentality in the defeat against Cartagena was the same as weeks ago when two consecutive victories were achieved but “this time, things did not work out.”

The team, he indicated, only has to keep the game in Castellón in mind and not think about the last defeat since “it is an appointment in which to be up to the task.”

“The Logroñés is playing something very important, but I look at my team and I do not doubt them, because we know that if you believe and work, it can be achieved,” he said.

He supports this statement in that, in his opinion, in reality “only two or three teams” have clearly beaten Logroñés “while the rest have competed and there are the same possibilities for all” and “now we are facing a team that he needs the same as we do, so you have to stick together and believe in what you are going to prepare for that game, “he said.

The Argentine player has been optimistic for the end of the season since he believes that his team has the capacity to “reach the classification three steps above how it is now” since his situation is due, in part, to “poor luck in the areas, “he said.

But he assured that he prefers not to think about qualifying “because that takes away energy and the team must be focused on Sunday, go day by day, believe and have faith that the goal of permanence can be achieved.”

That is why “the only numbers we have in mind are the three points on Sunday” to “get away from the danger zone” although “we don’t have to think about that before the game either, but rather have the maximum mentality and concentration in our work” .
