After a disappointing season, Nuno Espírito Santo will no longer be in charge of Wolverhampton. Despite having a contract until 2023, the English club has announced that the Portuguese will cease to be the team’s coach once this season is over.
“After four seasons at the club, this Sunday will be Nuno Espírito Santo’s last game in office. Thank you, Nuno ”, the club shared when announcing the decision.
This season, the Wolves have not managed to qualify for the European competition dispute next season and march in a discreet 12th position with 45 points, 14 behind Tottenham, who would go to the Conference League.
Nuno took over the reins of the English team when he was playing in the second division. With him, the Wolves were promoted to the Premier and in his first season in the elite managed to qualify them for the Europa League.
