The offensive midfielder of the Bayern
Musiala, has signed a professional contract this Friday that will keep him in the German champion until 2026.
Musiala came to Bayern’s Under-17s in 2019 from Chelsea and has developed rapidly to gain playing time with the first team and is also awaiting a call-up from the German national team.
“We are very happy that Jamal has signed his first contract and it was a long-term one with Bayern,” the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said in a statement. “Now we have to make sure Jamal develops.”
The talented player has made 27 appearances for Bayern in all competitions and last week became their youngest ever scorer in the Champions League when he scored in their 4-1 win over Lazio.
Less than 10 days ago, Musiala announced that he had decided to play for the German national team in the future instead of England, for which he was also eligible, after a talk with the German coach Joachim Löw. Löw has said that Musiala will be called up for his international matches at the end of March.
