Miguel Angel Moyá he says goodbye with the elegance that has characterized him during these three and a half years. He acknowledges that he would have liked to continue wearing the Real’s jacket, but he accepts with sportsmanship the club’s decision not to renew him. He will continue to be active and will carry La Real and Donostia in his heart, as he explains in an interview with the official media of the Real.

HOW WAS THE DECISION MADE?

“In cold, you understand that it is a decision that I knew could be given. You never want that moment to come. La Real has opted for this and nothing to blame. I would have liked to continue, they knew it everywhere in the city, but I hope my sporting life continues “

WHAT IS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FUTURE?

“From now on I have new challenges, new goals and I hope to know as soon as possible better to organize myself”

HOW HAS YOUR LIFE BEEN ON THE MARGIN OF FOOTBALL?

“We have made great friends around here in the city. I leave with the feeling of having been introduced to the culture of this territory, having learned some Basque, which is complicated. People liked that “

WHAT FEELINGS DO YOU HAVE?

“It is a mixture of emotions. Very grateful to Real, for signing me, for receiving me. I have lived unique, successful moments with a fantastic group of people. I leave with an indelible memory. Yesterday I was moved by the messages my colleagues sent me. You realize how you penetrate people “

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

“The affection that I get from all the people of Donosti and Gipuzkoa, from the baker, from the workshop, is indelible. I leave the door open for the future for whatever. Donostia and La Real will always have a hole in my heart. When you feel loved in a place, it is the best legacy you can leave ”..

SATISFIED WITH YOUR PERFORMANCE?

“I have left a very good mark when I have to compete and I have joined the team. He had that scent of a shadow leader in a mostly young locker room. That people love you is the best thing that can happen to you. I wish you all the best ”.

WHAT FUTURE SEES THE REAL ONE?

“La Real is a family club, folksy, but also avant-garde and competes for everything that can be competed in Europe. It has a wonderful structure and very good years are ahead.

WHAT MOMENTS DOES YOU STAY WITH IN THE REAL?

“That is always complicated, I have always been more about living what is coming but it caught my attention the first day I arrived at the Real, the way it happened, made minute one the most relevant. I practically got off the AVE, arrived at the concentration hotel, after a while the team arrived, I greeted them all and the next day I was at Benito Villamarín playing for Real when I was at Atlético two days ago. It is an unrepeatable moment, very special, and then the whole path of results that have come. The last game of last season, at Wanda, was very good for me on an emotional level. We got the classification in extremis in front of my former team. And logically the Cup final, which I did not play but was there to cheer on. They are the three most special moments ”.

HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR GOALKEEPERS?

“We all learn from everyone. Even I with 37 years of Remiro, Ayesa, Zubiaurre or Rulli. Consciously or unconsciously you learn and try to adapt and copy things to your game. I am sure that they, in my presence, and with my experience, have been picking up concepts that they may have seen interesting, which has turned them into the goalkeepers that they are, like ‘Remi’, who apart from being a great goalkeeper unites us a magnificent relationship and that is no coincidence. I am sorry to be separated from the group, but above all from ‘Remi’ “

HOW DO YOU SEE THE FUTURE OF LA REAL?

“It is not a conformist club, it is good to qualify for Europe but the club wants to make a golden move. A medium-term goal would be to compete with the top four. There is plenty of potential because it is a young team that grows every year and with two or three strokes, with some reinforcement from outside, it should be the objective. It is difficult to sneak into the top four but in the future I think that is the ambition that the club should have ”.

WHAT GOODBYE MESSAGE DOES IT SEND?

“To the people, thank you. It is usually a standard message, because there is nothing but thanks. Thanks to all the people who have lived with me at some point, from the baker, to the workshop, to the supermarket. I have felt super loved in Anoeta, in Zubieta. Thanks to all employees. I know that they will have a fond memory of me, I also of them. Eskerrik asko eta ikusi art!
