María Herrera, to the SSP600 World Championship with Biblion Motoxracing

The FIM Supersport World Championship grid will feature a new rider this season. Maria Herrera returns to the 600 category with the help of the Biblion Motoxracing Yamaha WorldSSP Supported Team and will have the support of Yamaha throughout the course that will begin from May 7 to 9 in Estoril if there are no more cancellations due to the pandemic.

The team based in Fiano Romano (Italy) will play its second season in the Supersport World Championship, where it will once again have a Yamaha R6, after its successes in the last two seasons in the Supersport 300 World Championship.

María Herrera, a 24-year-old from Oropesa (Toledo), already knows the category, in which she will compete in the first nine European races of the championship and has a good sporting career after playing the Spanish Moto3 Championship in 2012, a a year later he achieved two victories on his way to fourth place in the championship, in addition to contesting the Moto3 Grand Prix of Aragon as a guest rider.

In 2014 he participated in another three Moto3 Grand Prix, in which he raced in Jerez, Barcelona and Valencia, before getting a place for the following year and completing three seasons, accumulating 65 Moto3 participations. In 2018 he went to the Supersport 300 World Championship and after a single season, Herrera made the leap to Supersport 600 with a Yamaha R6, combining it with the recently created MotoE World Cup.
