Marcelino ties up the barge because ‘we still haven’t won anything’

Marcelino is not affected at all by everything that is being said in recent days about the two Cup finals that await Athletic and the barge. The mythical boat in which Athletic has celebrated its last Leagues and Cup is once again ready to sail. The Basque Government, for its part, says that for mass celebrations, if there is a title through, nothing.

The rojiblanco coach is very clear about it. “Stopping the Cup finals now is quite simple for me because I don’t know how the atmosphere is. With this of the pandemic we are little on the street, in the day to day. Since the game against Granada ended, I have dedicated myself to preparing the best I can for Atlético. Nothing moves us immediately ”.

Marcelino insists that “an attractive match against the leader awaits us and we want to show that we are a reliable team that is difficult to beat. Everything in its measure corresponds when it touches and now it touches Atlético de Madrid”.

When asked again about the return to the estuary of the barge, the Athletic coach indicated that “he was not aware either. I suppose that this will follow a process and that it is absolutely foreign to us, to the team. We haven’t won anything yet, there is a month left and we are going to play against two very complicated rivals ”.

Marcelino concludes this matter, stressing that “it will not distract me, or occupy me at all. We, As professionals, we consider that winning one of these two finals is very difficult and winning both is doubly difficult.. We are going to focus our attention on Atlético, Celta and Eibar and then there will be time for the Cup ”.
