Real Madrid closed the second week of the preseason with a training match against Rayo Vallecano in which Ancelotti’s men did not go beyond the draw (1-1). It was the second level test after they faced Fuenlabrada (3-1) last week and it served them to face the third week of training in which the Italian coach will already receive the first internationals.
The game was marked by casualties and is that Ancelotti could only have seven players from the first team: Lunin, Odriozola, Odegaard, Lucas Vázquez, Nacho, Marcelo and Isco, who scored the goal of the whites from the penalty spot. Thus, the injured Carvajal, Mendy, Rodrygo, Mariano and Jovic were unable to be on the pitch.
One week for the first test
In this way, Ancelotti’s team is already picking up the rhythm of the competition and preparing for the start of the League. Next Sunday, in his first game away from Valdebebas, he will face Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers and it will be there when Carletto’s team can be better examined.
