‘Futura Afición’, the program that the LaLiga FOUNDATION develops with the aim of transmitting the positive values of sport to schoolchildren, together with the support of Santander Asset Management and Banco Santander, reaches its sixth edition with numerous novelties in the area of innovation and interactivity, in a season that will take place without being present to adapt to the current social circumstances caused by COVID-19.
In this new edition, more than 10,000 students from 3rd to 6th grade of Primary from different schools of the Spanish geography will participate, with the intention of carrying out an educational program that turns the boys and girls of today into a respectful Future Hobby and that base his passion for sports in general, and football in particular, in the values of effort, improvement, teamwork, tolerance, empathy and, especially, in sports non-violence.
In response to the special circumstances that we are experiencing due to COVID-19, the Futura Afición project has been adapted, creating new educational tools and resources in a digital format, so that all participants can continue to enjoy a unique educational experience at Through a didactic guide, interactive sessions, challenges and mini-games, as well as a COVID dossier, in which they will work in a very interactive way, and in relation to the positive values of football, all the health recommendations to face the pandemic .
In addition, all these resources can be complemented with Futura Afición streaming sessions, in which all the values worked with a monitor will be reinforced and which, thanks to the collaboration of LaLiga clubs, will culminate with the presence of some of the players of their first squads, and they will be in charge of raising awareness among the little ones about how these values can help us fight COVID-19.
The project also seeks to involve families in this entire learning process. That is why this course has enabled a space on the Futura Afición website from which families will be able to access interactive challenges, the COVID dossier, and different project materials, where the benefits of sport are promoted for students. More smalls. In this way, we promote the important role that the child’s family environment plays in the transmission of values, acting as their referents.
Futura Afición is consolidated with all these novelties as a project validated by the more than 32,400 students participating in the five previous editions, as well as their teachers and families, who have valued this program with very positive indices, highlighting the vanguard in the use of new technologies as an educational tool of great value.
