The Russian Daniil Kvyat (Alpha Tauri), fourteenth in the qualifying session of the
Formula 1 Great Britain GP
, must give up five positions on the starting grid of this Sunday’s race on the circuit of Silverstone when mounting a new gearbox.
This was confirmed by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) when verifying that Alpha Tauri mounted a new gearbox on the single-seater Daniil Kvyat.
The Russian will give up five positions, just as one of those who made a great performance in this Saturday’s ‘qualy’, George Russell, will strain his Williams again in Q2. However, not having respected a double yellow flag on the track led him to lose 5 positions ahead of the race this Sunday.
