Krajinovic surprises and defeats first seed Tsitsipas in Hamburg

Serbian Filip Krajinovic, sixth favorite of the draw, gave the surprise of the day by beating in three sets (3-6, 6-1 and 6-3) the Greek Stephanes Tsitsipas, first seed, in the quarterfinals of ATP Hamburg.

Krajinovic, who had never beaten the Greek tennis player before, had to come back from a match that did not predict a great final after the development of the first set, but everything changed in the next two sets with a brilliant game that led him to victory.

The Serbian tennis player will face his compatriot Laslo Djere in the semifinals, with whom he maintains a favorable 6-2 in direct confrontations.

With this premature elimination, Tsitsipas, world number four, lost the opportunity to unseat Spanish Rafael from the third place in the tennis ranking, since for this, he needed to win this Sunday with the Hamburg tournament.
