Inter Miami announced on Tuesday the hiring of defender Kieran Gibbs, who will join their squad in the summer once his relationship with West Bromwich Albion of the Premier League ends.
The team led by English Phil Neville will have Gibbs, 31, from July 1, when his contract with the Premier club ends, in which he has played more than 300 games over 14 seasons.
Gibbs spent most of his career at Arsenal, the team with which he won the FA Cup, and also wore the national team jersey between 2010 and 2015.
“He has had an outstanding career at the highest level of the sport to date and we believe he can bring that level of quality to Inter Miami and MLS this summer,” said Chris Henderson, Inter Miami CF sporting director, according to a statement. of the institution that has as one of its owners the former English player David Beckham.
