Italy wants to be first in Group C today
The Italian team faces Bulgaria today with the challenge of chaining a second victory that will make it climb to the top of Group C, now held by Switzerland, with whom it is tied at three points.
The ‘azzurra’, with the injuries of Caputo, Berardi and Chiellini, comes from beating Northern Ireland (2-0) in their debut in this qualifying phase and today opens at home with the aim of winning to leave Leader.
They are seen against Bulgaria, which comes ‘injured’ to the duel after having lost to Switzerland (1-3) in their debut, so they are forced to win to continue to push their options to qualify for the next phase.
