‘It is unethical for players to leak team news’

The technician of Manchester
City, Pep
Guardiola, said that it is “incredibly unethical and unprofessional” for players to leak team news, and that they cannot be controlled. The Catalan coach’s comments come the day after Aston Villa regretted that Jack Grealish’s injury appeared on social media.

As a consequence, The Times reported Monday that Villa players had been banned from playing the popular Premier League Fantasy game so that this would not happen again.

A Twitter account called FPL with inside information revealed that Matt Targett, Conor Hourihane and Neil Taylor, players of Villa, as well as two members of the staff, were the ones who uncovered that Grealish would not play the game against Leicester City because they were left out of their Fantasy teams two days before the match.

“Sometimes you make a team selection and the players talk to friends from other teams and talk about what you do. Sometimes it happens and it is incredibly unethical and unprofessional, but it cannot be controlled ”, admitted Guardiola.
