HBO Spain has solved international distribution problems that prevented him from releasing the special reunion episode of the protagonists of ‘Friends’, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross, and they will be able to broadcast it at the same time as on HBO Max, next May 27.
This special is not, in essence, a new chapter, but rather a retrospective program with interviews with the cast; comedy, what premiered on September 22, 1994, in 2004 it closed ten successful seasons after 236 episodes.
The day before yesterday the first trailer was aired in which the six friends were seen returning to the same room that saw them grow up, the girls practically the same as twenty years before, the boys much more deteriorated.
The special, which will premiere more than a year later than planned due to delays in filming caused by the coronavirus pandemic, brings together the six protagonists of the series, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, which are accompanied by guests such as Lady Gaga, Malala Yousafzai, David Beckham or Justin Bieber.
But they are not the only ones, since the extra chapter throws the house out the window also including the band BTS, and actors, actresses, models and charismatic singers, such as Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lenon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, and Reese Witherspoon.
The special is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon, Fulwell 73 Productions and Bright / Kauffman / Crane Productions.
Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry and Schwimmer are executive producers of the special. Emma Conway, James Longman and Stacey Thomas-Muir are co-executive producers.
The platform remembers that all the original seasons of “Friends” are available exclusively on HBO Spain.
