Haukur Palsson, the Icelandic forward of the BC MoraBanc, has said goodbye to the remainder of the season: the Reykjavik player will undergo surgery soon for his right ankle injury.
The former Unics Kazan player, who arrived at BC MoraBanc this summer, suffers a tear in the peroneal, talus and deltoid ligaments with osteochondral involvement of the talus. The recovery period will be in four months.
Haukur Palsson, who had his fourth experience in Spanish basketball after playing in the Manresa, Breogán de Lugo and Baskonia, has had no luck with injuries this season, as he had a torn right abductor muscle and an ankle injury as well.
This is his third injury of the season with BC MoraBanc. In total, he has played 19 games in the Endesa League with an average of 20 minutes and 8 points with 37.7% in triples and 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists for a PIR of 6.
In the Eurocup he has played 9 games with 10.7 points with 40% in triples, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists and a PIR of 9.3. The Icelandic player has one more year of contract with those of the Principality.
