Lingerie firm Etam held its annual show during Fashion Week and took over the Opéra district of Paris for this 13th edition of the Live Show by turning its flagship Haussmann boutique into the runway. The firm presented the spring-summer 2021 collection and dedicated one of its lines to sport, the ‘Sport Party’, a torrent of silhouettes with explosive colors and dynamic lines. Inspiration from the 80s, holographic details in sculpted microfiber and sheer tulle: the catwalk flashes offer a double interpretation exploring the intensity of the colors. They wanted to emphasize diversity on the catwalk and models with different types paraded.
The collection designed and created around the party revealed silhouettes under the influence of a disco atmosphere. For the occasion, they dug through the archives of the brand to recover some emblematic pieces from the last decades. “Collector’s Edition” a limited edition capsule that brilliantly transposes the brand’s original aesthetic from the 70s to the 90s and into the world today.
In addition to the Sport Party, the collection featured “Garden Party”, a symbol of elevated femininity and a compliment to voluptuousness. Pink is presented in a palette of irresistible shades. Reminiscent of a summer garden with poetic inspirations, the materials are airy and infused with light sensuality. To sublimate the curves of the body, the minimalism of the details emphasizes new volumes.
“Sunset Party”, the penultimate image of the parade in the spirit of the seventies. The silhouettes give pride of place to the hippie chic style. It directs you to Ibiza, must-see parties, wacky sunsets and pronounced vintage looks. Elaborate draping, sometimes knotted, sometimes untied, emphasizing and flattering the delicacy of curves.
And finally, the “Disco Queen”, a final rebirth with the silhouettes of the disco. A shower of rhinestones and glitter. Lush fringes – party crystals all over the place.
The show was attended by 400 guests in person (respecting all the pertinent sanitary measures) and with more than 130,000 virtual visits through the Etam networks. Live music and skaters gathered at the Etam Live Show.
