Spanish talent has no borders. One more season, players from Spain have triumphed in foreign leagues and, after finishing, this is the ideal eleven:
DAVID RAYA (Brentford)
At just 24 years old, Raya has been one of the most outstanding players in the Championship (English Second Division). He has defended the goal of Brendtford, which has yet to play the promotion play-off final against Fulham to make it to the Premier League next season. It is his first season at the club, but not in England, where he has been through Shouthport and Blackburn Rovers.
CÉSAR AZPILICUETA (Chelsea)
One more season, Azpilicueta has performed at the highest level defending the Chelsea shirt. Captain ‘blue’ has been key to reaching the Champions League positions in the Premier League and the only downside was the injury suffered by the defense in the FA Cup final against Arsenal, which ended up losing his team.
PABLO MARÍ (Flamengo / Arsenal)
The Spanish central defender has had a season in which he has lived through everything. The first half was played by Flamengo, with whom he started and played a leading role in achieving the Copa Libertadores. After that, he changed teams to play for Arsenal, with which he has not finished having the desired role.
IVAN MARCANO (Porto)
The veteran center back has consolidated himself behind Porto. With outstanding performances, the former Villarreal has made it easier for the club to finish leading the league.
ALEJANDRO GRIMALDO (Benfica)
This is most likely his last season at Benfica. The Spanish, only 24 years old, has signed another spectacular season, which can open the doors to the greats of Europe, despite the fact that Benfica could not be crowned champion of the Portuguese league. Raised in the Barça youth academy, he stands out for his good touch, distributing 8 assists.
LUIS ALBERTO (Lazio)
The engine of a Lazio that will play the Champions League next season. Along with Ciro Immobile, who has won the Golden Boot, he has been the team leader, in charge of game development. Despite starting irregularly, he has finished the course with 7 goals and 17 assists. Tremendous.
THIAGO ALCANTARA (Bayern Munich)
Although less protagonist than in other seasons, also because of the occasional injury, it cannot be denied that Thiago improves everything he touches. A regular starter with the Germans, he will be looking for a new adventure this summer and it could be at Liverpool.
JORDI QUINTILLÀ (St. Gallen)
The St. Gallen compass this course. The Swiss club, which has been second in the leaderboard behind Young Boys, has moved around Jordi Quintillà. Raised in the quarry of FC Barcelona, he has gone through several different clubs until he landed at St. Gallen.
PABLO HERNÁNDEZ (Leeds)
At 35, Pablo Hernández has left under the orders of Marcelo Bielsa, with whom he has achieved promotion to the Premier League. Undisputed owner, he has authored 9 important goals and has distributed another 9 in the form of assistance.
ADAMA TRAORÉ (Wolves)
It will be one of the names of the summer. The Spanish, pure power, is an indispensable piece for Nuno and has won praise from Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp. Although he has only scored 4 goals, he has assisted in 9 but, in addition, he has been the player with the most dribble in the Premier League, and that is paid dearly.
PABLO SARABIA (PSG)
In his first adventure away from Spain, he approved with good marks. The injuries of his attack teammates gave him more prominence as a starter and he finished the course as a support piece for the undisputed. He crowned the season with Paris Saint Germain scoring the penalty kick that gave him the League Cup against Olympique Lyon.
