The organization of Dutch Grand Prix has announced this Thursday that the race to be held this year it will not ultimately be disputed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In this way, the country will have to wait until 2021 to once again host a Grand Prize.
“If we have waited 35 years, we can do it one more year”, the organization has declared. The Netherlands has not hosted a ‘big circus’ event since distant 1985 and was going to do it this year in Zandvoort.
The race dispute was scheduled for the May 3, but on March 19 it was postponed without a date, as happened with the Spanish Grand Prix. The Netherlands will finally not have its place in the 2020 calendar, while Montmeló plans to remain faithful to his appointment with Formula 1 on August 16.
