In “Mambo”, Steve Aoki draws on cultural icons such as the Franco-Mauritian DJ and producer Willy william, the reggae superstar Sean Paul, to the Dominican rapper The Alpha, to the duo of Texan producers Play-N-Skillz and the Italian rapper Sfera Ebbasta. All of them exponents of their own culture, united in a song whose objective is to celebrate global diversity.
According to Aoki’s own statements, “’ Mambo ’was definitely a fun thing to do, as always, the Latin space is the most colorful playground to play! Union with Willy William, Sean Paul, El Alfa, Play-N-Skillz and Sfera Ebbasta it really gave the song a global feel. At a time when so much is happening, a vibrant song like this is perfect to show that now, in such a difficult year, we are all together. ” .
