David Lopez was very excited during the medical tests this Monday, which mark the start of the preseason of a new course in the Spanish that, according to the player, the team starts “with more enthusiasm than ever”, and defined his return to the First Division as “very special”.
The captain of the first team underlined the need to work well in the weeks leading up to the start of LaLiga, scheduled for August 14: “We need to start very strong, because we have difficult games at the beginning and we must do a good training in preseason, as we did last year”.
Despite the wear of the previous season, when the promotion was achieved, David Lopez assured that the desire for the wardrobe is intact: “We all really wanted to go back to First Division and we have returned with charged batteries. We want to start the course stronger than ever”.
The Catalan footballer, on the other hand, confessed the special emotion that the public’s return to the stadiums represents and assured that they “want to see the full RCDE Stadium again” and again “feel the support of the public in the stands.”
On a personal level, David López explained, after undergoing medical tests at the Corachán Clinic in Barcelona, that the rest of these days has been good for him. “Last year I had a season with many emotions and now I have been able to disconnect,” he said.
The squad underwent physical and health examinations on Monday and on Tuesday they will begin to exercise collectively at the Dani Jarque Sports City.
On the other hand, the club announced that three members of the first team tested positive for coronavirus in the PCR tests carried out on Sunday.
