Colón and Vélez win and the leadership is guaranteed

Sarsfield Their respective leaderships in their zones were guaranteed this Friday after beating Arsenal (2-0) and Patronato (1-0) on the penultimate day of the Argentine Professional Soccer League Cup.

Colón de Santa Fe won 2-0 against Arsenal de Sarandí with goals from Bruno Bianchi and Facundo Farías to climb to 24 units in Zone A.

Students, with 19 points, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Racing Club, with 18 each, are the best positioned to fight for the remaining three places in this group for the quarterfinals.

In Zone B, meanwhile, Vélez Sarsfield won 1-0 against Patronato with a goal from Ricardo Centurión, from a penalty, to reach 28 points.

Boca Juniors and Talleres de Córdoba, with 19 units, and Independiente with 17 are the other three best-positioned clubs to complete the classifieds in this group.

The twelfth day will continue this Sunday with nine games among which the crosses of Boca Juniors against Lanús and Banfield against River Plate, the duels of San Lorenzo against Godoy Cruz, Central Córdoba against Racing Club, Indepediente against Atlético Tucumán and the classic Rosario between Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys.
