The british Jamie Chadwick (Veloce Racing) will start this Saturday first in the second round of the W-Series -the women’s championship that is held in parallel in eight of the F1 World Cup venues-, at the Austrian Red Bull Ring, where the Spanish Nerea Martí (Academy) will start fifth.
The other two Spaniards, Marta García (Puma) and Belén García (Scuderia W) will start this Saturday from seventh and tenth on the grid, respectively, at the Spielberg circuit.
Chadwick, who had already been the fastest in free practice, dominated qualifying by covering, on her best lap, the 4,318 meters of the Austrian track in one minute, 28 seconds and 473 thousandths, 118 less than the Dutch Beistke Visser ( M. Forbes Motorsport), who will start alongside her from the front row.
Finnish Emma Kimilainen (Ecurie W), who was 349 thousandths behind Chadwick, will start third; in a race that the Valencian debutant Nerea Marti – who was half a second behind the English – will face from fifth place.
Marta García, a native of Denia (Alicante), will start seventh; and Belén García from Barcelona will do it from the tenth position on the grid.
