Cepeda, Blaumut, Manu Guix and Sofía Ellar will perform at La Santa

La Santa, the transversal space of Leisure located in the Santa Cristina Horse Club of Santa Cristina d’Aro (Girona), celebrates its fourth edition from July 17 to August 30. Gourmet gastronomy, drinks, vermouths, children’s activities, a wide variety of shows and concerts in small formats, culture, leisure, crafts, fashion and fourteen independent terraces with six stages is the proposal of La Santa to enjoy the afternoons -from 18h to 1h- of the summer on the Costa Brava.

As a great novelty this year, the Privé Las Palmeras space hosts the first edition of the ‘Unplugged Music Experience 2020’ cycle, an exceptional, intimate musical format in a privileged environment where attendees can enjoy an innovative acoustic experience, which will have place on the Arbistar stage, in charge of big names on the national scene, such as Manu Guix (July 18), Sofia Ellar (July 25), Cepeda (August 15) and Blaumut (August 22nd).

It is an unprecedented format, something like the Mediterranean version of New York jazz clubs from the beginning of the century, where attendees, arranged at tables of four, enjoy the closeness and warmth of their favorite artists in l’Empordà ( Tickets can be purchased on the web www.lasantamarket.com)

This edition, marked by the new normal situation, has led the team to turn for weeks to work in compliance with all the measures established to guarantee the complete safety of the attendees, with measures such as the incorporation of an additional 9,000 meters of space, among others.

Commitment to culture

True to the commitment that has always characterized businessman Julio Rico, promoter of this initiative, and his team, La Santa is betting more than ever on local talent. “We are clear that this year is the time to support local artists, restaurateurs and merchants as we have done from the beginning, and that we have to stay together to face a moment as complicated as the current one,” says Rico. For this, La Santa has programmed this summer more than 100 free small-format shows, most of them concerts by local artists from an endless number of genres, which will liven up summer evenings in the epicenter of the Costa Brava. To do this, it has six different stages where activities will take place, including the main one, in the center of the venue: the Moritz-La Santa stage.

There are numerous children’s proposals in the Font Vella Kids space, which this year has adapted its calendar to adapt activities and workshops to the new regulations, such as another series of family activities ranging from mini-motorcycles to zip lines, a maze, a mini golf, a Pony Club and even an Escape Room, new this year.

In addition to the outdoor concerts, there are also craft stalls (fashion, interior design, accessories, toys and a new area for gourmet products), parades, theme parties, entertainment, free outdoor yoga for adults and families in a beautiful corner enabled for this, magic, monologues and other proposals that confirm La Santa’s commitment to becoming that space of support and dissemination of local culture, art and commerce.

An exceptional gastronomic offer

This summer we find a good representation of world kitchens and the local sphere by consolidated restaurateurs, many of them habitual since the first edition. Barbecues, cocktails, crêpes, ice creams, vegan cuisine, healthy juices, rice dishes, pizzas, sushi, Asian, Mexican cuisine and a beautiful corner set like an Empordanese cove where freshly made fish and skewers will be offered form the wide gastronomic offer of La Santa.
