Caen, tenth French club in foreign hands

The American investment fund Oaktree and the french producer Pierre-Antoine Capton have officially announced that they have bought 100% of the shares of the Caen football club (Ligue 2), which is in serious financial difficulties.

This acquisition makes Caen the 10th French football club under foreign capital after PSG, Lille, Monaco and Nice (Ligue 1), as well as Auxerre and Sochaux (Ligue 2), and the 4th club under the stars and stripes flag (USA) after Olympique de Marseille, Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1) and Toulouse (Ligue 2) fell in late July.
