Bruno Fernandes puts Europe at his feet

Bruno Fernandes, with two goals and two assists, was one of the main culprits that Roma conceded 6-2 at Old Tradffod. The Portuguese only confirmed that he is one of the great European cracks of the moment and the leader of a Manchester United with a foot and a half in the final of the Europa League.

The 55 million euros that Manchester United paid to Sporting de Portugal in January 2020 to obtain their services are possibly the best invested by the English club in its entire history. And it is that very few players have had a greater impact on the performance of their new team than the Portuguese midfielder upon his arrival at Old Trafford in terms of goals, assists and wins.

Until this Thursday, in his 73 games as ‘red devil’ Bruno Ferrnandes had participated in 58 goals, scoring 36 and distributing 22 assists. In 2019-20 he played 22 games, scoring 12 goals and giving eight assists. His numbers have only improved in the present by signing 24 goals and 14 assists.

This season in the Premier League he has finished off once every 14.7 minutes of the matches and is the player with the most scoring chances (87) in the English league. He is also the second best assistant in the competition with 11 passes on goal, tied with Manchester City player Kevin de Bruyne and only surpassed by Tottenham striker Harry Kane. In the table of top achievers in the Premier, Bruno Fernandes is third with 16 goals, after the star Salah, Liverpool (16) and Kane (21).
