Schalke, bottom of the Bundesliga, achieved their second victory of the season by beating Augsburg (1-0) at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, on matchday 28 of the German championship.
Schalke’s reunion with the win came late. When the Greek team Dimitros Grammozis assumes its descent to the Second Division It was with a goal scored in the fourth minute by Suat Serdar that Schalke managed to win, something that this season had only achieved on January 9, against Hoffenheim.
Nine days later, the Gelsenkirchen side added the three points again, but nothing changes in their qualifying situation, insofar as they are 13 points away from salvation with 6 days remaining for the end of the Bundesliga.
Schalke are last in the table, 10 points behind the penultimate, Cologne; 12 from the penultimate, Mainz, in the promotion zone, and 13 from Arminia Bielefeld, which marks permanence.
