Athletic’s reaction remains half against a direct rival

Distribution of points in Lezama between two teams in need. Athletic went to rest with an advantage, but Sporting de Huelva arrived in time to tie in the second half. The final reaction of the lionesses was insufficient to sign the victory against a direct rival.

The strategy allowed the locals to beat the visiting frame. Morente managed to culminate a slate action from Bilbao from a free kick. That relatively early goal gave the rojiblancas peace of mind.

The Huelva, without losing face to the game, followed theirs until get to tie the clash through Yoko in the absence of just over a quarter of an hour for the conclusion. Those of Iraia Iturregi, then yes, took a decided step forward in search of victory, but they ran into the good visiting goalkeeper and their own lack of definition to regain advantage on the scoreboard. This 1-1 final allows the Andalusians to have the particular goal-average, since in the first round they won in their field.

Athletic and Huelva faced this challenge in Lezama with the need to add to get away from the relegation zone and distance themselves from each other in the table. The rojiblancas, who had just won Rayo in Vallecas, started with one point more than the Andalusians. These, in any case, also counted for victory their last league match at home against Granadilla.

Iraia Iturregi bet on practically the same eleven from Vallecas. The only change in the local side was given by the presence of Monente in the place of Oguiza. Jenny Benítez, meanwhile, gave entry into her starting lineup to Sofía García and Dany Helena.

The match started evenly, but the lions were soon ahead on the scoreboard. A play of strategy rehearsed from a free kick allowed Monente to complete the precise previous combination between three of his teammates. The 1-0 at minute 13 gave peace to the rojiblancas.

The Huelva women, far from collapsing, were gradually getting into the game. De la Nava, in this way, had to intervene to auctions from Sofía first and Yoko later. Lucia also had her option. The change of the injured Unzué for Oguiza was the most outstanding note in this final stretch of the first half.

The second period started with the same dynamics as before the break. Athletic clung to its goal advantage against a rival who played their tricks in search of a tie. Ana Carol and Mikela entered the visiting team and minutes later Yoko Tanaka signed the tie with a shot from outside the area.

The lionesses, who still had an advantage on the scoreboard, had the double incorporation of Jone Ibáñez and Azkona, launched from there determinedly for the victory. Moraza, Lucia with a direct free kick, Azkona and Lucía again had their options to sign the second, but the stick and the goalkeeper Buhigas prevented it.
