Gaizka Garitano faces today’s duel against the leader, Real Madrid, with the same starting eleven that he presented last Wednesday at Mestalla against Valencia, where the lions took the three points at stake. The rojiblanco coach has decided not to make modifications to what has been his gala eleven in recent times.
The Bilbao alignment is the one formed by Unai Simon; Capa, Yeray, Iñigo Martínez, Yuri; Dani García, Unai López; Williams, Muniain, Córdoba; and Raúl García.
As alternates in the stands will be: Herrerín, Núñez, San José, Larra, Lekue, Vesga, De Marcos, Ibai, Kodro, Balenziaga, Villalibre and Sancet.
For its part, Real Madrid will play with: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Valverde, Casemiro, Modric, Asensio, Benzema and Rodrygo.
A victory for the rojiblancos against the merengue team would mean that Garitano’s team would regain seventh place in the classification and, therefore, would be in European positions at least until tomorrow, when Real Sociedad plays on the Levante field (7:30 p.m.).
The San Mamés clash begins at 2:00 p.m. with arbitration by González González, from the Castellano-León Committee and Gil Manzano, from the Extremadura Committee, at the VAR.
